  • ["Especially clothing they created..."]: A translation of chapter IV of Pushkareva's "Zhenshiny Drevnej Rusy", about the Clothing and ornaments of ancient Russian women.
  • [Pattern] by Sofya la Rus. A good basic pattern for a Russian shirt.
  • [Clothing in Kievan Rus]: A good basic article for those interested in Women's clothing from the 10th to the 15th century in the area once known as Rus'. Includes some drawings of the clothes.
  • [and Instructions for Medieval Russian Costumes]: The name says it all. The site includes a pattern for a shirt or undertunic and a pattern for a Kievan tunic or coat.
  • Female Rus' Clothing: A lovely photo of a woman modeling a female Rus' outfit. She is wearing a rubakha (shirt) with a blue plaid panova (also called a paneva). Hopefully they will include some patterns for the clothing pieces soon.
  • [Winter Ball]: a collection of photos from a book about the 1903 Winter Ball in St. Petersburg Russia. Some of the costumes are not in our period, but a few are. The quality of the pictures could be better, but hey, at least we can take a look at them!
