Czechia is a beautiful country, located southwest of Poland. Major cities include Prague, Pilsen, and Ostrava. As the country operates on the Czech crown, vacationing here can be quite affordable, especially for other Euro-zone residents and Brits. Prague is a popular destination for weekend vacationers, and the Charles Bridge is a very lovely scenic destination, not to be missed! There are almost always local artists on the bridge, including painters and musicians.

Ostrava is an industrial city in eastern Czechia, not far from the border with Poland. It has a very pretty downtown, and affordable, decent train service from Prague, and of course, local air service from Prague and other European cities. It's a popular area for running, and the parks and bridges across the local river are also scenic.

A moose once bit my sister.
